Guidelines – 10-Month New Life Recovery Program

With so many phone calls about our program, we refer people to this list as we are far too busy to give such details over the phone 

  • Check-in is from 4:30p.m.-7:00p.m., 7 days a week.
  • We ARE NOT A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER
  • You are only allowed 2 boxes or 2 bags or 2 suitcases per person, nothing more
  • If you are a married couple, you MUST have a valid marriage license
  • Each person MUST have ID and a Social Security card
    • If you have no ID, you will need to get one through other agency assistance
  • Children MUST have a birth certificate, Social Security card and immunization records
     
  • You MUST shower daily, no exceptions
  • We cannot take men on parole
  • We cannot take anyone convicted of a sex crime at any time in the past
  • If you are not a convicted felon and have never been here, we will take you in
  • You will be given the list of rules and regulations you must sign to stay
  • If you commit to our program and then leave, you must stay gone for 30 days
  • Breaking various rules can result in a 30, 60, 90 day or PERMANENT restriction
     
  • First time resident receive 5 FREE nights
  • After that you will choose between the Pay-To-Stay Program at $10 per night or the Long Term Program which is free for those having no income
  • Children are always free
  • Senior Citizens are welcomed
     
  • You will work in the kitchen for the first 30 days – ladies in the mornings; men in the afternoon and evenings
  • After that your classes begin in Anger Management, Job Readiness, Resume Preparation, Men’s Issues, Women’s Issues, Psychology of Addiction, Budgeting, Purpose Driven Life and AA
  • Computer school is MANDATORY once a week
  • Phase 2 requires you to work security or food service on-site
  • Chapel is at 8:00a.m. every morning and 6:00p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Sunday morning and Sunday evening
     
  • You MUST remain on property for the first 30 days and you CANNOT SMOKE
  • All cigarettes, lighters and tobacco products are confiscated upon arrival
  • During those first 30 days you get NO VISITORS
  • Only after the first 30 days do you begin getting passes to leave the property
  • In Phase 3 you acquire employment
  • In Phase 4 you get a personal mentor
  • In Phase 4 you acquire housing
  • YOU CANNOT WORK FOR THE FIRST 3 MONTHS OF THE PROGRAM!
     
  • Single people sleep in dorms
  • Married couples or those with children get a private room
  • Every resident has a daily cleaning job, no exceptions!
  • Only a limited number of vehicles fit on our property
  • NO FRATERNIZATION WITH OTHER RESIDENTS!
    • Men leave the women alone and vice versa
  • You cannot bring your pet with you
  • You will be drug tested without notice
